A More Sustainable Christmas
As we get swept up in the festive period, it's important not to forget about the impact our decorations and Christmas cheer has on the planet. Here are a few of our tips for making Christmas more eco friendly!
1. Go back to a classic, rustic style of wrapping gifts and use recyclable brown paper tied with string - you can add foliage and berries for an elegant touch.
2. Decorate the house with timeless pieces that can be used all year round. Our infinity roses add a touch of elegance to any room and in red or white are festive, but also perfect for any time of the year! Instead of buying bouquet after bouquet and wasting plastic packaging, invest in beautiful, year lasting roses.
3. Re-use last years Christmas and party outfits! We are all for treating yourself but this year is slightly more low key with socialising and celebrations so why not take the opportunity to recycle previous winter outfits rather than ordering new ones? It's also the perfect time to have a sort out ready for the New Year, and donate any unwanted clothes to charity.
4. Shop local for food, cards and gifts. Support small butchers and bakeries, visit independent gift shops and pop into charity shops for their Christmas card collections. As a small, London business, we appreciate every order wholeheartedly, and know that other independent retailers would love to have your support as well!
And last but certainly not least, is read love and joy - it costs nothing and is 100% sustainable!
